I recently headed to Fleet Street in London to create these editorial portraits of the partners of the oldest family-owned bank in the world, C. Hoare & Co. The images were commissioned by Spears Magazine who were writing an article about the banks history and the fact that they were celebrating their 350th anniversary of trading. The bank’s building is impressive too, an elegant place that’s full of history ( their ledgers refer to clients such as Samuel Pepys, Queen Anne and Jane Austin). We chose the banks library for a shoot location, an impressive dark red room which made for some atmospheric portraits.
