The University of Winchester
Earlier in the year I headed to The University of Winchester for my second shoot commissioned by London agency, Bell Integrated. The brief was to capture images of real students of the university as they were studying in the present day and then dressed in the clothes or a uniform based on the careers their degrees would hopefully lead to.
AA cinemagraphs
In the autumn of 2022, I was invited to shoot alongside a commercial film crew whilst the were capturing new footage for an AA TV advert. I headed to Castleton in the Peak District to create still versions of what they shot. Whilst on the shoot, it occurred to me that these shots could be brought to life in the form of a cinemagraph.
Boughey Distribution
Boughey are a food distribution company who deliver brands to UK supermarkets. I was commissioned to create a set of images which show all aspects of their business and rather than shoot standard documentary style shots, I chose to create stylised images using the red and blue brand colours.
The 8th Earl of Leicester
Earlier this summer, Spears, the wealth management magazine commissioned me to photograph the 8th Earl of Leicester at Holkham Hall, his ancestral home in Norfolk. I relished working on the project as it combined two loves of mine, portrait photography and historic architecture.
Retouching the impossible
I always love a photoshop challenge, so when I was commissioned to create an image of a cheetah chasing his prey on a motorbike, I jumped at the chance.
Photography during a pandemic
Way back in February this year I was commissioned to photograph a set of five images for a health and safety poster campaign. All was going well with the pre-shoot preparation and location finding, then Covid-19 put an instant brake on it all. When we entered lockdown on March 23rd. I had no idea when I could resume photography. By the time the lock down had eased in June, the locations has stopped allowing access, models couldn't work less than 2 metres from each other so the whole shoot was looking like an impossible task.
Cinemagraph food
I was recently commissioned to create a suite of cinemagraph food images for the food distribution company Lineage. Cinemagraphs are photographs that animate in a simple loop to create an everlasting moving image that are great for websites, social media, digital advertising, online adverts and digital outdoor.
American Classics
I’ve always loved the style of classic 50’s and 60’s American cars, the exaggerated tail fins, the sleek curves and most of all the chrome bumpers and trims.
Dismaland
Back in the summer of 2015, street artist Banksy launched Dismaland, a temporary art project set in a disused lido in Weston-super-Mare. This pop-up exhibition was "a sinister twist on Disneyland". I was lucky to be one of the first visitors of the day so managed to take these images before the crowds arrived.
